Antigravity Quota Slashed: 1500 to 250? Is Pro Just a Trial" Now?"

# Antigravity Quota Slashed: 1500 to 250? Is Pro Just a Trial" Now?" ## Antigravity Quota Slashed: Are Pro & Ultra Subscriptions Effectively Dead? We recently conducted a comprehensive quota test on Google's AI IDE, **Antigravity**, and the results were deeply disappointing. Both the Pro subscription and the higher-tier Ultra subscription have experienced an \"avalanche-like\" decline in available quotas, severely impacting their practicality as productivity tools. ### Pro Subscription: The 5-Hour Perk is Now a One-Time Bonus Our tests indicate that the so-called \"5-hour\" quota for the Pro subscription is more like a one-time trial offer. One user consumed 40% of their quota with just about 10 minor, lightweight HTML modification tasks. After this, the system switched to a **weekly limit mode with a 7-day refresh cycle**, restoring only 20% of the quota at a time. This is a stark contrast to the early days of \"more than you can use.\" Today's Pro subscription is largely insufficient for any moderately intensive development work. > **Conclusion:** The golden era of the Pro subscription is over. ### Ultra Subscription: High Price for a Paltry Quota The situation for Ultra users is equally grim. According to community feedback, we're seeing: * **Astonishing Consumption Rates**: Some users report that 1-2 tasks can drain 20% of their quota. A 20% quota that used to last for 2 hours now depletes in just 25 minutes. * **Drastic Reduction in Request Limits**: Using the Opus 4.6 model, the number of requests for Ultra has been progressively cut from an initial 1500, down to 800, then 400, and now a rumored **250 requests**—on par with the early Pro subscription. * **Swirling Rumors**: Rumors are circulating in the community about **\"Dynamic Peak/Off-Peak Quotas\"** and **\"Weekly Limits for Ultra\"**. The former suggests the system dynamically adjusts request limits based on the time of day (e.g., low, normal, high demand periods). The latter contradicts the official promise of \"no weekly limits,\" although some users have provided screenshots as potential evidence. ### Advice for the Provider and a Way Forward for Users We believe the core issue with Antigravity is the mismatch between its value and its price. We offer two suggestions to the official team: 1. **Focus on the IDE Itself**: Increase investment in the core IDE functionalities, fix bugs, and improve the user experience. 2. **Introduce Specialized Subscriptions**: Offer **\"Coding Only\"** subscription options, such as `Antigravity only` or `Gemini CLI only`, to meet the core needs of coding-focused users. For current users: * **Ultra Users**: It's advisable to consider \"getting off the train\" or at least switching to monthly billing to protect your interests. * **Pro Users**: It's time to look for alternatives. ### Next Step: Exploring Codex With Antigravity's future looking uncertain, we recommend turning your attention to other tools. **Codex** is a worthy alternative to explore, especially by using the **Codex extension in VS Code** combined with the **GPT-5.4** model. Even better, Codex offers a free tier for trial, significantly lowering the barrier to entry. This is likely our final video on Antigravity. Thank you for being with us on this journey, and feel free to share your experiences in the comments. Next up, we will be bringing you a brand new series on Codex.
